I don't want to forget the yellow weavers in the palm tree by the pool they had taken over, hanging their nests like Christmas balls, then chirping, twittering and circling about to provide entertainment at tea time. Monkeys are occasionally spotted, but aren't friendly. When the tide went out more than usual the last day, I could walk over the rocks and look down on large moray eels swimming in interconnecting pools left in crevices. Startled crabs would skitter away from advancing footsteps. Nor will I forget the flower-strewn pathways—not ceremonial...just trees shedding flowers to beautify the way. Seafront breezes filter through leaves hanging low since tree trunks snake horizontally over sand, amazingly conducive to reading. The swimming pool was cooling, yet near body temperature; the coconut smell at the far end near the serving area was more fragrant than food-like.
