In Situ art festival
Fort d'Aubervilliers, Paris

June 2014

What's left of the fort's crumbling buildings serve as canvas for paintings by the best of Paris street artists invited to participate. Forty of them worked secretely several weeks before it opened, creating 60 works on the six-acre plot. Their names – including Jef Aérosol, FKDL, David Walker, Dan 23, Monsieur Qui, Kouka, Michael Beerens, Jana&JS and Levalet – may not be household terms quite yet, but they are in the forefront making street art respectable, even on an international scale.
